Loving Hedgehog!

Hi Guys. Today I am showcasing a card made entirely with MFT products.

For this card, I took a A2 white card panel and smooshed some twisted citron distress oxide ink on the right corner of it.
On a watercolor card stock stamped the adorable hedgehog and the tree log from the BB - Happy Hedgehogs stamp set by My Favorite Things with archival black ink.
Then I colored it with distress inks.

After fussy cutting them, placed it on the card panel.
Lastly stamped the sentiment on the left upper corner.
Stuck the panel on A2 card base with double-sided foam tape and my card was ready!

Thanks so much for coming by. Your visits and comments are always a joy! :)

Painted Flowers!

Hello, I am back with another card. This card I made with a flower theme as I love using flower motifs!

I have used the Painted Flowers stamp set by Altenew. I love this stamp set. I embossed the flowers from the set on watercolor paper with Ranger gold embossing powder. Then I painted them with zig marker. After that I fussy cut the flowers.

I then die-cut a circle from the panel. Then I arranged the flowers in a cluster and stuck them with foam dots on the panel. Die-cut the word 'happy' with Lawn Fawn Happy word die from white card stock ,also gold embossed this and the word birthday on black card stock. Stamped stripes on the card base.
Adhered the panel on white A2 card base along with some black wire and black splatters and my card was ready!

Thanks so much for coming by. Your visits and comments are always a joy! :)

Triple Time Stamping Card

Hello! Today I have made a card based on the triple time stamping method. This is the first time I have tried this method. It is an amazing way to create depth in your cards.

  1. First I took a  5.25 in. x 4 in. panel of green cardstock and stamped the damask mudra stamp all over it with black artistry ink.
  2. Then I cut it in layers of three rectangle frames each smaller than 1 inch from the larger one (which means I left half inch on either side)
  3. Then I took another panel of the same green cardstock of 5.5 in. x 4.25 in. which is A2 size.
  4. I cut 3 rectangle frames out of it similar to the above. Each again 1 inch smaller than the larger one. This way I saved my cardstock from being wasted under the panel.
  5. After that I stuck the rectangle frames alternatively.
  6. Then I stamped a sentiment image in the centre panel. And stuck the panel on the base card. And I was good to go.

Hope you liked my card. Do try this method of triple stamping.

Supplies used:
Green Cardstock
Black Cardstock 300 gsm
Stamps - Mudra Damask 3x2 stamp and Itsy Bitsy Stamp Dream Catcher
Black Artistry ink
White glue

Feeling it!

Love is in the air. So they say.
I believe that love is in your heart.
And the way to anyone's heart is through their stomach.
Uhhh. Don't mind me. I am spilling out anything that's coming to my mind or is it heart. Or both?

Which makes me come to my main point. Is our heart and mind really separate?
Of course I don't mean physically! Duh.
I mean how do we know whether something that comes to us is a feeling or a thought?
For starters, both are intangible (meaning you cannot touch either).
Both could be just plain imagination.
Both emanate from within.
So how do we differentiate one from the other?

I feel (I choose to feel than think) that thoughts are mostly a summary of our interactions with the outside world. The sum of information we gather and mingle with our intelligence. They are most of the time learned, logical and reasonable.

As opposed to feeling. Feeling is irrespective of what you have learned till now.
A person may be a doctor, having treated thousands of patients till now. Knowing that disease and illness is a part of life. But even then if a loved one gets ill, they will feel affected. Even though their brain tells them not to, their heart will give in.
Most of the time.

I say most of the time, because I have come across people who might not exhibit this.
That is what I am unable to grasp. Practical people. I mean I have always envied them. Seriously. Its like they have received a boon. Their emotions are so in check, they can get through almost anything. My observations. Could be not true.
But they can bounce back out of anything. Like elastic.

Unlike emotional people. They kind of suffer even over trivial things. Like not having bought that amazing blue dress that so caught their eyes. Or over that snide comment a friend made a week ago, but is still fresh in your mind. or heart. You decide.

Though everything has its pros and cons, Emotional people I feel, help keep humanity alive in human beings.
Their feelings, I believe is what makes the world going. Because without our feelings we would be like a car without fuel. Or food without salt.
True, you could pull or push the car to move or eat the food without taste. But then its sense of purpose is lost.

Like it would be. If human beings lost their feelings.

As Johnny Depp says,
You can close your eyes to the things you don't want to see, but you can't close your heart to the things you don't want to feel.

Pain Pain Go Away...

Pain Pain Go Away, come again another day ???

Wait.... Don't ever come again. Isn't this what we always wish ?

Yes, we do.
But as balance in life is important, pain can never completely go away.
You could however, change your reaction to it.
Pain keeps you in the present. In the Now. It keeps us what we call A.L.I.V.E.
Have you noticed that as our pain becomes past, we do not remember it. We cannot remember it. This is a boon given to mankind. We may recollect the situation but the feeling is lost. Well I am not complaining!

Physical pain is experienced lesser in reality than the worry that precedes it.
Although emotional pain is experienced in manifold than the worry we dedicate to it.
Such is Life.
But sometimes pain helps us to live, many times it even helps us to heal.
It makes us challenge our own beliefs. Be it mental, emotional, physical or psychological.
As long as Life exists, pain will co-exist!
But you can change the way you perceive it, the way you deal with it or the way you handle it.
Life comes a full circle not when pain vanishes but rather when you accept it as an expression of Life itself!

Quoting a line from the poem, "I wish you enough" which says,

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive,
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life may appear much bigger.
Because even though we wish pain never comes our way (I wish that for you too), it teaches us that Everything is to be experienced in the Present. Just like we experience Pain!

Like Haruki Murakami once said...

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
